(hope this doesn't come off the wrong way.....)
....I realized just yesterday that it's refreshing to see a liteskin, educated brother who actually married a sister DARKER than him...., as opposed to going white or so high yellow it barely matters....
I still am about 75% ambivalent about him... mostly just because he IS a POLITICIAN...... Just can't bring myself to buy into the whole 'Golden Child' / Deliverer archetype he seems to be courting........
But i also don't wanna see the expected charecter assassination that i bet the guys gonna have to go through......
Wonder what the differences are between how west coast people of color and east coast p.o.c. percieve him.......

Richard Daly's hand puppet? The next target of the United States single gunman theory? He hasn't got the legs to go against Hilary's mean machine or the wholesome goodness of Fred Thompson son of Regan
I'll not go as far to say he'll never be president, but I'll say not this time and it won't be neo con's that will bring him down,it'll be Uncle Billys wife. -

Kinda too bad a ticket with him AND Hillary is so impossible........... -
-
She's going to have to play ' it takes an entire village' soccer mom card to get past her flint edged political baggage, unless Obama is willing to drive Miss Daisy as v.p,she doesn't want to have any color men around her except trout mouthed preachers

Hillary is a lightening rod. She knows it and is pragmatic enough to trade her doomed candidacy for a handfull of the highest denomination chips in the big game. Since she can't win she will draw the fire of the Repukicans until March or April of next year. She will endure all the slings and arrows and step aside for the eventually winning ticket: Gore-Obama. She will then become not just the most powerful member of the Senate, but the Kingmaker as well. Her hubby; ex-prez Bubba will go on to become Al Gore's first appointee to the Surpreme Court. The Democratic Senate and House will bend over backwards to confirm him. Then the purged Justice Department under Attorney General Kucinich will fill up the prisons with the GOP and the K Street Boys. The new FDC will break the Oligarch's monopoly on media and in a fury of betrayal based on the revelation of how they have been screwed and tatooed the American people will turn on even the local Republican Parties.
Or I could be wrong. -

Your right, tha'ts the best ticket I can thing of at this time I can see Uncle Billy as ambassador to the UN I doubt unless there's a presidential pardon in Uncle Billy's future they let convicted felons on the Supreme court.

"I doubt unless there's a presidential pardon in Uncle Billy's future they let convicted felons on the Supreme court." Prez. Bubba didn't get convicted of any felonies, that I am aware of. His impeachment was not for high crimes of any sort. He wasn't even convicted for perjury. Despite the furor raised by the Neocons and Busheroids he is still eligible to sit on the Supreme Court.
To the best of my recollection: President Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on December 19, 1998, and acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999. The charges, perjury and obstruction of justice, arose from the Monica Lewinsky scandal and Paula Jones law suit. The trial proceedings were largely party-line, with no Democratic Senators voting for conviction and only three Democratic Representatives voting to impeach. In all, 55 senators voted "not guilty," and 45 voted "guilty" on the charge of perjury. The Senate also acquitted on the obstruction charge with 50 votes cast each way.
White Watergate was like most of George Bush's Oil Industry projects; a dry hole. So if you are aware of some other felony he was convicted of please let me know.

Gosh thats a beautiful grand dream. -
-
Also let's not forget that prior to being the Attorney General of Arkansas, Bill and Hillary both taught Law. Bill's area of expertise and courses he taught were in Constitutional Law.

thanks for the course correction Al, you did with with style too. I jumped the gun,the fact that two political families holding almost twenty years of presidential power is to say the lease ..disturbing

All that's great and Dandy...but Obama cannot beat a Clinton.
She'll make him Vice President and have him on a short leash -
-
This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Nah- can't see him allowing that... Maybe the VP thing..., but NO WAY is he down to be on ANYBODYS leash........ -
-
No way??? Let me see.. Obama isn't just facing Hillary..He also has to deal with ..(You guessed it the grandday of them all ......William Jefferson Clinton!!)
Even if his star power can keep him neck and neck with Hillary, she can save the big bullet for him and blast him to Smithereens with Billy C!!!
And before you even think you know how Bill and Hillary are..as a person (and this has been documented) She doesn't see people who aren't on her team or in her private circle as equals.
And she treats them that way. Just ask any of her staff and read the books on her.
You want cold..you want calculating, and you want to see how power is used to the fullest to get want you want....You asked for it ,..you got it,...HILLARY CLINTON!!!!
Obama won't know what hit him until he's picked up off the floor! -
-
I kinda think ur UNDERestimating 'Bama boy......
Not to say that Hillary is't all those things u said.....It's not UP to her whether she gets elected......
And i wouldn't be surprised if, in the end PEOPLE felt more open to Barack that Hil, just because of how she's often seen AS calculating, etc.....
