As a white Scottish woman, I feel I can have my 10 cents worth here....what you gonna do? Ban me?

For a very long time, in other politics tribes I argued that the way to give a word no meaning was to use it....take the sting out of it by common usage.....e.g. *fuck* or *cunt*...(ok, I know cunt is a terrible word to you yanks but not us Brits)....and why? Because we are a bawdy foul mouthed race....tell us not to say a word cos its rude and we respond by using it even when the circumstances dont warrant it....e.g. <fucking nice day aint it?>, <my boss asked me to work late, fucking cunt> etc.

And so I argued the same with the N word.

Say nigger long and often enough and it pales into insignificance. Yet, I argued without the logic of America. They agreed with me. Say it often and loud. But....only if you are black..

Here is my problem with that logic. You tell one group of society that they cannot say something you can freely say and what do you think the outcome is? They see it as a *dare* word. Er...as do blacks....

Lets call a spade a shovel here, the word is no more or less than a line in the sand for racial segregation....it could have easily been *elephant* or *rhubarb*. And before you jump down my throat, I am perfectly well aware of the negative connotaions of the word. My greatgrandparents as Irish immigrants to the UK were *white niggers*.....nigger coming from the French meaning *black* meaning *untrustworthy*. The word now synonymous with the human rights struggle in the USA, but....you did not invent it...

But, I digress. The word is now used by blacks as a *dare you* word. It is a way to get the upper hand, albeit, pathetically. *We dont see equality in our lives so we compensate*......*we can say a word you cant.....na..na...nanana*.......before you ban me, put your hand on your heart and tell me that aint true. Cos if it aint then the only other logical conclusion to draw is that some black people like referring to each other as *untrustworthy slaves*

Now..assuming this tribe does not exist cos everyone finds it uber cool to be black in the US today, here is a thought. Ban the word. Ban it the way Germany banned the word *extermination*. An outright ban. There are, granted, very few Jews in todays Germany, but those that are there do no talk to each other in terms of *yo exerminate you bro*. The word is disgusting to all.

If black people continue to use a word that they then cry *racism* at when heard from a non black person then one would be forgiven for thinking *pretentious/hypocritical/precious/emotional blackmail/devisive/we like it this way...
